Aircraft Engineering
The Air Craft Mechanical engineering program was established during the academic year 1979-1980 to serve the students studying for the ministry of defense (airforce and Military Aviation). Then, in 1982-1983, Its students included also those for the civilian airlines ( Iraqi airways ). AME P is one of the important programs in mechanical Engineering. It is characterized by its specific subjects that cover all what is required for the Aircraft engineers including but not limited to Aircraft design structure, engines, theory of flight, Aerodynamic, stability and control, Mech. And elec. Systems and aircraft maintenance in addition to the basic eng. Subjects required for the mech. Engineer. The four year study is then concluded by agraduation project that solves a technical problem in the field. The head and staff of the AME P are keen to cooperate and scientifically engage with leadership of Iraqi air force and we have a constructive relationship through the Aero engineering department through the MOU signed between the president of UOT and leader of IAF. It includes cooperation in all scientific, such as visits summer training and employment of top graduates. The leadership and staff opened cooperation channel with national and international instituted like Florida institute of Technology and The Iraqi airlines Co. and Iraqi Aviation Academy which we have MOU with including the acceptance of Top four graduates.
